Faculty Position in Thermal Fluid Engineering

Assistant/Associate/Full Professor

The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of California at Davis has a faculty position available in the area of Thermal Fluid Engineering. The position is open to candidates at all levels (Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor). The candidate will have a strong background in the basic engineering and science related to fluid flow, heat transfer and energy systems. The candidate will demonstrate the ability to apply thermal fluid engineering principles to applications such as new technologies for improving the efficiency of buildings and other energy systems. The candidate will play an active role in teaching courses in the Department in the general areas of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer.

To be considered, applicants must have a Ph.D. degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering or related field that merits appointment to the tenure-track title of Assistant Professor or the tenured title of Associate or Full Professor in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. Applicants must be able to teach and develop undergraduate and graduate courses in mechanical engineering. Candidates whose research interests complement, yet clearly extend existing research strengths, are particularly encouraged to apply.
