Professor David Horsley Receives Alexander Schwarzkopf prize for Technological Innovation

Congratulations to Professor David Horsley on receiving the Alexander Schwarzkopf prize for Technological Innovation from the I/UCRC Association, a voluntary, independent organization of past and present members of the National Science Foundation’s Industry/University Cooperative Research Center (I/UCRC) program.

The award, named for the founder of the NSF I/UCRC program, recognizes David and his UC Berkeley colleague Dr. Bernard E. Boser for their efforts building the Berkeley Sensor and Actuator Center (BSAC)­ into an internationally recognized laboratory for the development of a wide range of technical innovations.

The award ceremony has not yet been finalized but likely will occur at the January 2017 NSF I/UCRC meeting in Washington, DC.
