Tesla Motors’ mission is to accelerate the world’s transition to electric mobility with a full range of increasingly affordable electric cars. After a general presentation of Tesla Motors as a company you will get insight into the work of the Industrial Engineering group and learn about real process improvement projects on the production line. In addition you will see how equipment and production data are being visualized and used for analysis at Tesla.
Daniella Van der Spiegel graduated from RWTH Aachen University, Germany with her Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering and her Master’s in Production Technologies. During her Master’s she was an international student at UC Davis and conducted her thesis research in Dr. Barbara Linke’s SMaT Lab with the title “Sustainability Strategies for Manufacturing Companies”. In June 2014 she started working in the Industrial Engineering group at Tesla Motors in Fremont.
