Biofluid Mechanics

Biofluid Mechanics focuses on the role of fluid mechanics in the regulation of normal physiological function and the development of particular pathologies.

Ongoing research projects include experimental and computational studies of the potential role of arterial fluid mechanics in the etiology of vascular disease, investigations of the effect of fluid mechanical forces on the structure and function of the vascular wall, and studies of cellular and tissue engineering.
