Sunday: 5/4/08 - Rolling Chassis!

We finished machining the front hubs and got the chassis rolling on Friday. The wheels are also finished.

Wednesday: 4/23/08 - Updates/Picnic Day

We had a relatively productive picnic day with some monkey bike races in front of the shop. Marty set an impressive lap time of 18.5sec around the course, beating the next contender by over 4 seconds. The new seat is also finished and mounted.

We got the new exhaust from Burns Stainless with a 4-1 collector. More pictures in the Gallery section.

Saturday: 4/1/08 - Updates

New update pictures in the gallery section. The pedal assembly and intake manifold are coming along.

We recieved a bunch of new parts for the new car. The wheel centers on the right are cast from magnesium. Check out the Gallery page for more pictures.

Tuesday: 10/17/06 - First recruitment meeting

Tuesday we held our first big recruitment meeting to try and gather some more team members for the 2008 competition. We were pleased with the turnout and had quite a few promising students show interest in the project. We met in a lecture hall to show an 'inspirational' video and give a brief description of the competition and the teams goals, then led the group over to our lab to show them the cars up close and allow everyone to ask questions. We're aiming to compete in the 2008 competition, and we'll need a strong team to help build the car in time. We're hopeful that a large portion of the group will remain interested and dedicated throughout the year.
