Dave graduated from the University of California at Davis in
2002 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a M.S. in Mechanical and Aeronautical
Engineering 2004 from the same University. His studies there focused on hydrogen
production via steam methanol reformation. After graduation Dave was hired at
Lockheed Martin. After having to take a 5-year hiatus from work due to cancer, he
is now finally transitioning back into work. Currently he is a part-time staff
researcher for the Institute of Transportation Studies on campus working on energy
efficiency solutions. His current project involves altering the demand response of
a domestic refrigerator utilizing a thermal storage device with a phase change material.
