Background

Hyunkyu Park is a Ph.D candidate in the Department of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering at the University of California, Davis. He received his MS in mechanical engineering in 2001 and BS in both mechanical and electrical engineering (double) in 1999 from Ajou University, South Korea. His master study was on active balancing for rotating machinery using an automatic balancing device. From 2002-2003, he joined Korea Automotive Technology Institute (KATECH) as a research engineer. He carried out mechanical characterization of plastic body panel for next generation vehicles. Since 2003, He has begun his doctoral work at UC Davis, where he is engaged in MEMS research.
