Evening Flight
This is my brother Jim on his first flight in my plane. He
told everybody it was the funnest thing he's ever done ...well,
then it became the second funnest after telling his wife. :-) Jim
had ~250 hours in GA before this, plus a couple type
familiarization rides in ULs beforehand. He had no trouble.
However, on his second flight 3 weeks later, he came as close
as you can get to ground looping when we decided he should go in
spite of a cross wind starting to brew. ...one of those marginal
decisions that turned out to be a dumb move. Funny thing, now
that I think back on it, my second flight was pretty ugly too. I
think this says something for either beginner's luck or the extra
focus we have on the first flight. I dunno.
