Professor Stephen Robinson and MAE Student Etan Halberg Featured on Space.com
Professor Stephen Robinson
MAE department chair Stephen Robinson and graduate student Etan Halberg have recently been featured in an article published by Space.com. The article talks about the development of a vehicle that would help in the case of medical emergencies in space. This vehicle, called the X-37B, hopes to substantially improve the safety of astronaut landing from space to earth. In the past, landing has been very turbulent and has even injured healthy astronauts. Etan Halberg, a member of the UC Davis HRVIP team, has been working on this specific area of X-37B development. His presentation with the NASA Future In-Space Operations group has been highlighted in the article. Professor Robinson also provided his insight on the matter.
